GSG Presents...VFL Football Tournament 001

1. Eligibility All players must be 18 years of age or older at the time of registration. Players must reside in an eligible location and comply with all applicable laws. GSG may request proof of age, identity, residency, or ownership of the registered gaming account. Players who cannot complete the required verification may be disqualified. GSG employees, tournament administrators, and anyone responsible for managing match results may not participate unless expressly permitted. 2. Tournament Format Entry is free. No purchase is required. Matches are played one-on-one. The tournament uses a single-elimination bracket unless otherwise stated. The winner of each match advances to the next round. One loss eliminates a player from the tournament. The final two players will compete in the championship game. 3. Registration Players must register using accurate and complete information. The registered gamer tag must match the account used during the tournament. Each person may register only once and use only one gaming account. Accounts and tournament positions may not be shared, transferred, or sold. Players may not substitute another person or account without GSG’s written approval. Registration does not guarantee entry if the tournament reaches capacity. 4. Platforms and Cross-Play Cross-play is allowed. Players may compete against opponents using different supported platforms. All players must enable cross-play before their scheduled match. Eligible platforms will be listed on the tournament registration page. Players are responsible for having the correct game, gaming system, online subscription, account, and reliable internet connection. Players may not change their registered platform or gaming account after the tournament begins without GSG’s approval. 5. Match Scheduling and Check-In Players must check in and be ready at the scheduled match time. Players should add their opponent and establish a connection before the scheduled start. A player who is more than 10 minutes late may forfeit the match. If both players fail to appear, GSG may eliminate both players or reschedule the match. Scheduling, connection, or opponent-contact problems must be reported to a GSG tournament administrator immediately. Players are responsible for monitoring tournament notifications and schedule updates. 6. Game Settings Unless different settings are posted for a specific tournament, matches will use: Madden 27 Head-to-Head mode Current GSG-approved rosters Competitive gameplay settings Five-minute quarters Accelerated clock enabled Injuries off Fatigue on Clear weather No custom rosters, modified players, or unauthorized settings Both players must confirm the settings before kickoff. Starting the match generally indicates that both players accept the settings. 7. Team Selection Players may select any team permitted by GSG. Both players may use the same team unless the tournament listing states otherwise. Players may not change teams after a match begins. GSG may require players to use the same team throughout the tournament if that requirement is announced before competition begins. 8. Gameplay Rules Players must compete fairly and make a reasonable effort to win. Normal substitutions, coaching adjustments, audibles, hot routes, and clock management are permitted. Players may not intentionally delay a match, repeatedly pause the game, or interfere with an opponent’s ability to play. Excessive pausing may result in a warning, penalty, or match forfeiture. The result displayed at the end of regulation or overtime determines the winner. Tied games must continue through Madden’s official overtime system until a winner is determined. 9. Prohibited Conduct The following conduct may result in penalties or disqualification: Cheating, hacking, modding, or using unauthorized software Exploiting a known glitch to gain an unfair advantage Account sharing or allowing another person to play Collusion, match-fixing, prize splitting, or intentionally losing Falsifying results or submitting altered evidence Stream sniping or using a broadcast to gain an unfair advantage Intentionally disconnecting to avoid a loss Impersonating another player or tournament official Threats, harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior Betting on a match in which the player is participating Violating EA, PlayStation, Xbox, PC-platform, or GSG policies 10. Disconnections and Technical Problems Players are responsible for their equipment and internet connection. If a disconnection occurs before meaningful gameplay begins, GSG may order a restart. If a disconnection occurs after meaningful gameplay begins, the remaining player must preserve evidence showing the score, game clock, possession, and game situation. GSG may order a restart, reconstruct the remaining playing time, award the win, or issue a forfeiture based on the available evidence. Repeated disconnections may result in removal from the tournament. Players may not restart or replay a disputed match without approval from a GSG administrator. 11. Reporting Match Results The winning player must report the result through the GSG tournament system within the required time. Players should retain screenshots or video showing the final score. Both players may be required to confirm the result. False or conflicting reports will be reviewed by GSG. Failure to report a result may result in a match forfeiture or elimination. 12. Match Disputes Disputes must be submitted promptly and before the next tournament round begins. Players must provide relevant screenshots, gameplay recordings, messages, or other supporting evidence. GSG may interview the players and review all available evidence. Players must continue following the tournament schedule while a dispute is being reviewed unless instructed otherwise. GSG’s decisions concerning match results, advancement, penalties, and disqualification are final. 13. Championship Broadcast The championship game must be broadcast through GSG TV. Both finalists must cooperate with the GSG production team and follow all reasonable broadcast instructions. Finalists may be required to use an approved streaming setup, provide access to their gameplay feed, complete a technical test, and join the broadcast at a designated time. Players may not independently stream or rebroadcast the championship game without written permission from GSG. GSG may use a broadcast delay to protect competitive integrity. Players must not display private, offensive, copyrighted, or unauthorized content during the broadcast. A finalist who refuses or fails to participate in the required GSG broadcast may be disqualified or required to forfeit the championship game. By participating, players authorize GSG to record, broadcast, edit, promote, distribute, and archive their gamer tag, gameplay, voice, image, and tournament participation in connection with the event. 14. Prizes Tournament prizes are funded by GSG and/or its sponsors. No purchase or entry fee is required. The available prize and payment method will be disclosed before registration closes. Winners must complete all required identity, age, eligibility, tax, and payment verification. Prize payments may be issued through PayPal or another GSG-approved method. Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes and payment-processing fees. Prizes are non-transferable unless GSG approves otherwise. A winner who cannot be verified or legally receive the prize may be disqualified. 15. Sportsmanship Players must treat opponents, administrators, production personnel, and viewers respectfully. Competitive trash talk must remain within reasonable limits. Harassment, discriminatory language, threats, hate speech, or disruptive conduct will not be tolerated. Players must follow all instructions issued by authorized GSG tournament administrators. 16. Penalties Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, GSG may impose: A warning A gameplay penalty Match forfeiture Tournament disqualification Prize forfeiture Suspension from future GSG tournaments Permanent removal from GSG events or services 17. Tournament Changes and Cancellation GSG may reasonably adjust the bracket, schedule, match settings, broadcast arrangements, or tournament procedures because of technical problems, platform outages, player withdrawals, safety concerns, or circumstances outside GSG’s control. Material changes will be communicated to affected players. GSG may postpone, suspend, or cancel the tournament if it cannot be conducted safely or fairly. 18. Publisher Disclaimer This tournament is operated by Game Starr Group LLC. It is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or affiliated with Electronic Arts, the NFL, any NFL team, Sony, Microsoft, or another game or platform provider unless expressly stated. 19. Acceptance of Rules By registering, each player confirms that they: Are at least 18 years old Meet all tournament eligibility requirements Have read and accepted these tournament rules Agree to the GSG Terms of Service and Privacy Policy Agree to follow all additional requirements posted on the tournament page Accept GSG’s final decisions regarding tournament administration and enforcement
